The Cassard is an anti-aircraft frigate of the French Navy, named in honor of the privateer Jacques Cassard. Identified by the call sign D614 and sponsored by Dijon, it was due to be replaced in 2022 but was withdrawn from service in 2019. It is currently being dismantled in Bassens, Gironde.

During its operational career, the Cassard has participated in several important missions:

      - In 2006, it carried out the Agapanthe mission in the Indian Ocean.

      - In 2011, it was deployed off the coast of Libya during Operation Harmattan.

      - In 2013, it cooperated with the Lebanese Navy in the Eastern Mediterranean.

      - In 2015-2016, it escorted the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle in Operation Chammal.

      - In 2018, she participated in Operation Hamilton in Syria and rescued the crew of the Indian bitumen carrier Durban Queen.

      - In 2019, she seized drugs in the Indian Ocean during Operation Manitou.

After her withdrawal from service in March 2019, the disarmament of the Cassard was completed in December 2019. Her dismantling began in 2024 in Bassens, where other French Navy ships are also being dismantled.
