Poster french submarine espadon

The Espadon submarine is a 1200 ton "Narval" class submarine.

With a length of 78 meters, this submersible was in 1964, the first to navigate under the ice floes with the Morse.

Launched in 1960, it served in the French Navy until 1985. It is to this day the only Narval class submarine preserved as a museum.

Visible in the old Saint Nazaire submarine base, it is one of the city's greatest attractions, and one of the rare submarines that can be visited in France.
