The Surcouf was a French submarine cruiser that served in the Second World War in the Free French Forces. Commissioned in 1934, it was then the largest submarine in the world (110 meters long and 9 meters wide, and a tonnage of 3300 tons).

Equipped with a turret with two 203 mm guns, it also carries two 37 mm AA guns and 12 torpedo tubes. Her crew consists of 126 sailors. It could also use a Marcel Besson MB-411 seaplane housed in a watertight hangar at the rear of the customer.

The Surcouf served during the Second World War in the Free French Forces.

The only unit of its class, the Surcourf sank bodies and goods on the night of February 18 to 19, 1942 in the Caribbean Sea with 130 souls on board.
