Poster submarine USS Triton

The USS Triton (SSRN/SSN-586) was a nuclear attack submarine in service with the US Navy from 1959 to 1969.

When it entered service, it was the largest and most powerful submarine ever built and the only non-Soviet submarine equipped with two nuclear reactors.

It was the first submarine in the world to perform a full submerged circumnavigation in the early 1960s during Operation Sandblast.
