District of columbus-class submarine

The future "District of Columbia" class submarines will be the next generation of SSBNs used by the US Navy.

Under construction since the beginning of the decade, twelve units are planned, to gradually replace the current "Ohio" class

These boats will measure approximately 171 meters long, 13 meters wide, for a displacement of more than 20,000 tons.

They will carry 16 Trident T5 missiles
