A digital drawing of the french "Train à Grande Vitesse" Postal
The postal TGVs are TGVs in the colors of the French Post Office, in yellow livery, which circulated at night to transport part of the mail and parcels, between Paris, Mâcon and Cavaillon. They were built at the same time as the TGV Sud-Est family, and entered service in 1984.
>br/>Originally made up of five half-trains, the fleet was increased by one train by converting a passenger train from the TGV Sud-Est fleet.
Given the continued decline in mail traffic and road competition, La Poste decided to end their operation in 20155.
The postal TGVs made their last commercial runs on Saturday 27 June 2015.
