A digital drawing of the french SSK " La Créole", an Aurore submarine from early 40's.
La Créole (Q193) was a French Navy submarine, Aurore class.
Its construction, begun before World War II, was stopped by the invasion of France in June 1940.
It resumed in May 1945, and the Creole entered service during the post-war period.
73.5 meters long and 6.5 wide, these buildings weighed 893 tons on the surface, and could dive to more than 100 meters. They carried 46 crew members, and were armed with, among other things, 9 torpedo tubes, a turret on the kiosk, a 100 mm cannon and an AA machine gun.
After a long career, she was dismissed in 1962.
