Poster submarine galerna class

Agosta type submarines are diesel-electric propulsion submersibles of French designs and manufacture.

Extremely modern for the time, they are 67 meters long for 1500 tonnes, and offer great versatility as well as extreme acoustic discretion in electric propulsion.

They embark 54 crewmen, for long-distance missions. Their efficiency will be recognized by different nations which will adopt them, in this case Pakistan (which will benefit from an improved and enlarged version of 9 meters with the Agosta 90B) and Spain which will launch four units between 1981 and 1984. : Galerna, Siroco, Mistral and Tramontana. The spanish name is "submarino clase Galerna"

In 2021, 2 are still active, pending the arrival of the new "Issac Peral" class submarines, built by Navantia.
