A Poster featuring the famous WWII light cruiser HMS Belfast
HMS Belfast (C35) is a Town-class light cruiser of the Royal Navy. She is one of the few British-preserved World War II ships currently moored in the Port of London on the River Thames, near London Bridge Underground Station. Having a rich history, Belfast took part in various operations during the war and was involved in key events of the Second World War, including patrols, bombings and the Normandy landings. She also played an important role in the Korean War as a United Nations ship. Over the years Belfast has undergone renovations and upgrades to adapt to changing needs and has been used for a variety of functions including accommodation for the Royal Naval Reserve. Despite her contributions and long history, Belfast was finally withdrawn from service in 1971 and scrapped.
